Another Missile Hits Near Town

By Lionel Krutch

Another Borucistinian missile hit near the small town of Tooine in Nanganis yesterday, killing a man.

The missile hit at 10:30am yesterday about 5 minutes outside of the small farming town of Tooine. A man was killed when the blast overturned his car on Forrest road, the main road leading out of the town. The man’s name was Joseph Crane, a 47 year old farmer who was on his way back from the Tooine town centre after buying several bales of hay.

The military is now at DEFCON 3 as an investigation begins into the missiles origin. There are rumours that say the missile originated from Borucistan, a small jingoistic island nation to the southeast of Nanganis. If these rumours are true, there could be very serious ramifications as just barely 1 month ago a rogue Borucistinian missile hit Nanganis in similar circumstances, with the exception that no one was injured in the event.

Senator Manteisgar, the representative for Nanganis, appeared in a live broadcast on the CNFC National Network calling for action against those responsible for Mr. Crane’s death. She stated that since a citizen had died it was an “act of war” against the Hindopian people.
“Who will be next? Your sister? Your mother? Brother? We must show those responsible that we will not stand for our innocent friends and family to be killed!”

A spokesman for the defence department disclosed few details except that investigations are continuing into the incident and that the military has been called to tighten security inside the Nanganis region. A 100km wide perimeter fence was set up to prevent the press and interested individuals from entering the quarantine zone.

Missile Strikes Nanganis Again

By Stacey Hermes

35 minutes ago a missile yet again struck the ground inside the region of Nanganis, just over a month after the last missile incident occured.

The Hindopian Military is very tight-lipped about the missiles origin and have erected roadblocks on all roads leading into the affected area. Sources inside the Department of Defence say that the entire military has been put at DEFCON 3 and an unknown number of air force jets have been scrambled both in Nanganis and Ibergatis.

It is unknown if there are any casualties or injured as a result of the missiles explosion but considering that the missile struck a road that was frequently used by farmers it seems likely that there are at least some injured.

This is the second time that a missile has come down in Nanganis, the last time being a rouge missile from the Peoples Republic of Borucistan. This last event was the first time in over 200 years that a foreign powers weapon was used in Hindopia.

More on the story as it develops.

Senate Committee Releases Statement, Harrowsing Charged

The senate inquisitorial committee released a statement today after a 2 month investigation into the allegations that Senior Hindopian Ambassador to the World Assembly Vargas Harrowsing has been embezzling money from the Office of Diplomatic Affairs' General Fund Account.

Before the statement was made Harrowsing was called back from the WA World Headquarters and given the chance to surrender willingly. He did and was transferred to Ibergatis Regional Holding House and was formally charged there.

IC Chairman Harold Murcan says that the committee gathered strong evidence that suggested Harrowsing was in fact stealing money from the General Fund.
"There is quite a pile of evidence mounting against Ambassador Harrowsing in this case. Unfortunately, as this is an ongoing investigation, I cannot give any details as to exactly what this evidence is but rest assured it will come out in due time. Ambassador Harrowsing was called back from WA Headquarters by the President on our advice. He was questioned by the entire Committee and it was determined that it was prudent to formally charge him. He voluntarily surrendered to police and has been transferred to Ibergatis Regional Holding House. He will be arraigned tomorrow morning at 9:35 am."

This event is unprecedented. Never in the history of Hindopian diplomatic relations has one of our own ambassadors been arrested by Hindopian police. Because of the case’s unusual nature, it is unknown if the Ambassador's case will be heard by a court or by the Senate.

If Harrowsing is convicted of the crime he risks a possible sentence of 35 years and a definite one of 9 years. He has yet to release a media statement. President Vargas’ nephew James Vargas will temporarily fill in for Harrowsing at the WA General Assembly.
